Our Story

The Rayzors Foundation was founded in 2023 by Kimberly Steiner and her fiancé, Jeffrey Walker, following a deeply personal journey of resilience, healing, and hope.

For much of her life, Kim faced significant mental health challenges. In the spring of 2022, she made the courageous decision to voluntarily seek inpatient treatment at BryLin Hospital. With the support of compassionate professionals and her family, she began a new chapter focused on recovery and long-term wellness.

After returning home, Kim committed herself to counseling and therapy. With encouragement from her loved ones, she pursued Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy , which helped her process past trauma and move forward in a healthier, more sustainable way.

Today, Kim is thriving. Alongside Jeff and their blended family, she continues to prioritize her mental wellness and credits EMDR therapy as a life-changing part of her healing journey.

Maintaining mental health is an ongoing commitment, and Kim embraces that commitment with intention, gratitude, and a desire to help others find hope in their own recovery.

Turning Healing Into Purpose

As Kim’s health improved, she felt called to give back to the organizations and professionals who support individuals and families during their most vulnerable moments.

That vision became the Rayzors Foundation — a nonprofit dedicated to  raising mental health awareness and funding mental health programs across Western New York.

Since its launch, the Foundation has raised more than $35,000 to support critical mental health resources, including:

• BryLin Hospital
• Horizon Health Services
• Mental Health Advocates of Western New York
• Children’s Psychiatry Clinic

Looking Ahead

The Rayzors Foundation has ambitious plans for the future. With continued support from our community, we aim to raise even more funds, expand mental health awareness initiatives, and help break down the stigma surrounding mental illness.

At its core, the Rayzors Foundation exists to make a difference — and ultimately, to help save lives.
